Carbon project track record
Our local carbon project on Verra: SKS Go Green.
Led by SKS Coachbuilders Sdn. Bhd., SKS Go Green advances sustainable urban mobility in Kuala Lumpur by replacing diesel-powered buses with locally assembled electric buses. Launched with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), the e-buses are leased for the GoKL City Bus service, which provides free public transport.
With e-buses making up only 0.24% of Malaysia's 42,081 buses in 2022, the project cuts greenhouse gas emissions, improves urban air quality, and creates local jobs in manufacturing, quality control and electric-vehicle maintenance.
Our role: ESG Solutions prepared the project documentation under the Verified Carbon Standard.
